Better Full Than Empty

Life with three little ones has been extremely busy, overwhelming and fun.

Out of pure necessity, I have ventured out with all three to a few stores and other places.  I have seriously had a handful of people watch us walking down an aisle with my boys hanging off of the cart, and say "Wow! You've got your hands full."  Now some people say it with a smile, like it is entertaining and sweet to them. Others have said it with a tone, that is not so endearing.  More like I am crazy.  Which at that point my boys are knocking things down left and right or running away, so I do feel crazy.  

I was relating this to Sally, who then said, "Do you know what your response should be when some says 'You've got your hands full,'? Better full than empty!"

And that is true.  I am so grateful to have my hands full right now.  As long as there is not any sassiness in my voice (which does happen every now and then), I will be answering to people at the store:

"Better full than empty!"
