Pre-Japan Happenings

KK-

I am happy to be home from Japan.  I intend to share all about my amazing adventure to Japan on our little sisters blog over the next few days.

I must start with our week before we left before Japan.  Honestly, the whole month of April was busy and stressful.  I really did not even have time to think about or prepare for going to Japan.

Then the Sunday before we left, I cut my finger on a lid of an aluminum can.  Ugh... I am getting sick just thinking about it again.  It turned into an ER visit and after 3 1/2 hours, 4 stitches and an ugly splint, we left the hospital.

Then on Tuesday night, Big D called me and said he had been in a car accident.  My heart dropped.  He quickly assured me that he was fine, but the car was not.  See below:

Stitches + Car accident + other stresses and inconveniences = a serious contemplation about even going to Japan.

By the end of the week, I did not care that I was flipping everyone off with my splinted finger.  I was beyond agitated and stressed.

The night before our flight left, we stayed up late frantically packing and preparing the house.  We flew out a Friday morning.  I had to take some serious deep breaths to try and release my anxiety.  Then I said some serious prayers that everything would work out.  Which they did......
